Train Transfers To and From Thessaloniki Airport

Passengers arriving at Thessaloniki Airport have various transfer options that can take them to their further destination. You will not only find rental cars and taxis, but you can also take public transportation, which includes different bus options. Passengers will not find a train station at SKG Airport. However, guests can choose to use the train service once arriving in Thessaloniki to continue their travels.

Train Service - The New Thessaloniki Railway Station

Once you arrive in Thessaloniki by either car, bus or taxi you can choose to use the railway system to get further around. The new Thessaloniki Railway Station is Thessaloniki’s main central passenger railway station and terminal. It is located in the central quarter of Xirokrini on Monastiriou Street.

As of 2020, long-distance trains from New Thessaloniki Railway Station are run by TrainOSE. From here you can get to destinations such as Athens, Alexandroupoli, Larissa, and Florina.
